About the project

CIVILITY is a European project that aims to combine citizenship education (CE) and media and information literacy (MIL) to strengthen democratic resilience.

Through innovative tools – simulator, pedagogical AI agents, MOOC and an educational toolbox – the project supports students, teachers, trainers and decision-makers to develop critical skills and promote informed civic participation in a digital environment marked by misinformation.

Duration : 2026 → 2028

Target audiences : students, teachers, trainers, decision-makers.

  • Resources and practical guides for integrating citizenship education and media literacy into schools.
  • Discover how algorithms influence access to information with a social network simulator.
  • Understand the biases of AI models and their impact on opinion formation with an educational AI agent.
  • Train teachers via the European Schoolnet Academy platform using MOOCs.

The consortium consists of two educational institutions, one association, and five universities.
